Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Hardware Test Hub at hardwaretesthub.net ("this site"). By visiting the site or using any of its testing tools, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please stop using the site.
What this site provides
Hardware Test Hub offers free, browser-based diagnostic tools for mice, keyboards, trackpads, and reaction time, alongside written troubleshooting guides. Everything is provided free of charge, without registration, and without any account or subscription.
The tools report what your browser receives from your input device. That is useful evidence, but it is not a laboratory measurement and it is not a substitute for a manufacturer's diagnostic software or a professional repair assessment. See our Disclaimer for the full limits of what these results mean.
Acceptable use
You may use this site for personal and commercial diagnostic purposes — testing your own hardware, a customer's hardware, or hardware you are evaluating before purchase. You agree not to:
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the site or the servers it runs on;
- Use automated systems to scrape, mirror, or republish the site's content at scale;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its hosting infrastructure;
- Use the site in any way that breaks applicable law, or that infringes the rights of others;
- Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright or attribution notices on the site's content.
Intellectual property
The written guides, page designs, tool implementations, graphics, and site name are owned by Hardware Test Hub unless otherwise credited. You are welcome to quote a short excerpt of any guide with a clear link back to the original page. Republishing a guide in full, translating it, or presenting it as your own work is not permitted without written permission.
Brand names, product names, and trademarks mentioned in the guides (operating systems, keyboard and mouse manufacturers, and so on) belong to their respective owners and are referenced only to describe the hardware and software a fix applies to. Their mention does not imply any affiliation with, endorsement by, or sponsorship from those companies.
No warranty
This site and its tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any diagnostic result is correct for your specific hardware.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hardware Test Hub is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of this site or your reliance on its content. This includes, without limitation, damage to hardware, loss of data, lost time, or costs incurred following a troubleshooting step described in a guide.
Several guides describe physical repair procedures — opening a device, cleaning switches with isopropyl alcohol, removing keycaps, or replacing components. You carry out any such procedure entirely at your own risk. These steps may void a manufacturer's warranty. If your device is still under warranty, contact the manufacturer before attempting a repair yourself.
Third-party links and advertising
Guides link to external resources such as manufacturer support pages and driver downloads. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
This site displays advertising served by Google AdSense. Ads are selected and served by Google, not by us, and we do not endorse the products or services advertised. How advertising cookies are handled is described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability and changes to the site
We may add, change, or remove tools, guides, and pages at any time without notice, and we may suspend the site temporarily for maintenance. We are not obliged to keep any particular page available indefinitely, though we redirect rather than delete URLs where reasonably possible.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and it takes effect as soon as it is posted. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing approach
These Terms are written to be read plainly. Where a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full effect. Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.
